The tension-er would keep coming loose due to the shaking of the motor, so I needed to find a way to stop the disk that holds the chain from falling down. I found that the nuts and bolts from my fence fit in the frame perfectly. So I took one out of the fence to add into the tension-er, and it seems to hold it in place. This is a pretty important step because if the chain gets too loose it can clog like it did before.
The tension-er also keeps the chain aligned with the gear to keep it from falling off so thats why I cant just remove a few links. Removing the links would also make it harder to remove the chain in the future if I need to get into the carburetor again.
